Buick introduced the Series 40 in 1930 as a replacement for the Series 116. 1935 was the last year that Buick used a total wood frame body and mechanical brakes.
In 1935, there were 6 40 Series bodystyles to select from, including 2 Door Business Coupe, 2 Door Convertible Coupe, 2 Door Sport Coupe, 2 Door Touring Sedan, 4 Door Club Sedan and 4 Door Sedan.
The Series 40 was the base model, also available in 1935 were the
mid spec model Series 50, the upper spec model Series 60 and the
top Limousine Series 90
