Description
English: The front cover of one of only 200 copies printed in January 1917 of the first edition of The Play of Everyman, adapted and translated by George Sterling from Hugo von Hofmannsthal's German-language play Jedermann. The book printers rushed to make their deadline of The Play of Everyman's opening night performance and misspelled "Hofmannsthal" on the cover.
