An untitled Caine film spinoff of John Wick is an American action film in development. Robert Askins is writing the script, and Donnie Yen stars, reprising his role as Caine from John Wick: Chapter 4. The film is produced by Thunder Road Films and 87Eleven Entertainment for a Lionsgate release.

Production[edit]
In March 2023, Donnie Yen expressed interest in reprising his role from John Wick: Chapter 4 in a potential spin-off centered around his character Caine and that there were discussions to continue from Chapter 4's post-credits scene.[1] By November 2023 following the resolution of the writers and actors strikes, Lionsgate revealed that work on spinoff films had officially resumed.[2] In May 2024, Donnie Yen officially signed on to reprise his role as Caine in a film written by Robert Askins. The John Wick producing team of Chad Stahelski at 87Eleven Entertainment and Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee at Thunder Road Films were returning to produce the film for Lionsgate Films to distribute.[3]
Filming[edit]
Principal photography is scheduled to begin in early 2025 in Hong Kong.[3]
