User:The Parson's Cat

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from User:Parsonscat)
This is a cat. It is not me - I understand it is a cat called Plya, and was taken by User:Miskatonic in 2006. I found it on the cat article.

I am The Parson's Cat. There is a long and boring story behind my username, which doesn't matter. I am based in the UK, and have broad interests. I have limited time, so I can't do all that much on Wikipedia.

Things that are particularly important to me are:

  • A critical understanding of references - not all sources live up to WP:RELIABLE, and it's important to use them appropriately.
  • Full referencing, ideally using Wikipedia's templates.
  • Neutral point of view as per WP:NPOV.
  • Avoiding plagiarism.

I'm often not quite sure how I ended up editing a particular article - I tend to follow links and see where it takes me. Sometimes I have an interest in the subjects I am editing, but often, it's pure coincidence.
