தமிழ்: இறைவனுக்கு அளிக்கப் பெறும் பலி/ பலியிடுதல் இன்றும் வழக்கில் உண்டு. ஆடு, மற்றும் கோழிகளை இறைவன் ஆலயத்தின் முன்னால் நிறுத்தி உயிர்ப்பலி கொடுக்கும் ஒரு காட்சி.
English: A scene of goats and chickens being sacrificed in front of a local deity's temple in Tamil Nadu. Animal sacrifice to the deity is an ancient form of worship and continues to this day among South India non-Brahmins (mainly lower-castes).
