This page was a manually generated list of new pages on Wikipedia, which was useful when Wikipedia used UseModWiki (before February 2002). Some of the revisions of the list were generated by this Perl script. It was superseded by Special:Newpages, which was introduced with the first version of the Phase II software, the forerunner of MediaWiki. Use the page history to find new pages from January to August 2001 and October 2001 to January 2002. Several revisions of this page are gone permanently because UseModWiki did not save all page history; most of the revisions from January to August 2001 come from the 17 August 2001 database dump.
