Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, KeithSNP. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Disambiguation link notification for October 17[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Global regionalization, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Palestine. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:05, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for correcting! DueKinkajou4384 (talk) 11:41, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have a problem.[edit]

This unsigned user 141.136.148.235 keeps deleting important page links on An American Tail: The Treasure of Manhattan Island and An American Tail: The Mystery of the Night Monster and I think it’s the same unsigned user 89.164.105.189 that deleted the page links for no reasons. I responded to user Jacona, but for some reason did not respond back. Would you please talk some sense into this user so he/she would stop? Thank you. Retrosunshine2006 talk 01:18, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ivan Provedel[edit]

Hello, I would like to ask why you kept reverting the Ivan Provedel article to a version vandalized by another anonymous user prior that contained incorrect information in the infobox, despite another user (User:Juao otto) having reverted the article back to its correct state a couple times. Thank you, Angelo (talk) 08:51, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I thought this was blatant vandalism by Juan Otto as usually trolls set things to 0. I have removed the warnings from the talk page of Juan Otto. Keith McKenzie (talk) 08:58, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
When trying to help the project, I looked at the wrong edits diff (I was on mobile), this led to confusion and me thinking Juan Otto was the vandal and when he undid back my undo I reverted his undo, again thinking he was the vandal. I have removed all warnings from their talk page Keith McKenzie (talk) 10:28, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Are there any good diff browsers for Anti Vandal for Desktop. I tried to use Huggle but it says I need roll back permission Keith McKenzie (talk) 10:35, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ivan Provedel[edit]

The correct way of referring to a season in all articles is 2013–14, and not like what you changed it to, hence why I reverted your edit. Check any other player/club's page and you will see. Vasil3fonov (talk) 12:07, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Pending changes reviewer granted[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Blocked[edit]

Your behaviour while not logged in (WP:LOUTSOCK) was abhorrent. There's simply no excuse for your behaviour and your attempt to hide your edits by logging out shows you intended to actively harm the project. I have therefore blocked you indefinitely. WP:GAB explains how to contest your block. --Yamla (talk) 13:57, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I didn’t do anythin. Keith McKenzie (talk) 18:41, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I just saw this from an email sent to me, I didn’t not do socking stuff Keith McKenzie (talk) 18:41, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You most certainly did. The technical data is unambiguous. If you ever want to be unblocked, now is the time to be completely open and honest about what you did. --Yamla (talk) 18:51, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I didn’t do anything. I promise. Someone must have hacked my account but I don’t see any edits. Keith McKenzie (talk) 19:04, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's not what happened. The technical data is incredibly clear. I'm sorry you gave up your chance to be open and honest with us. I will not respond further. --Yamla (talk) 19:06, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please revoke the block, I am begging Keith McKenzie (talk) 23:24, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

1You checkusers rely on edit patterns between accounts and IP address or ranges. I promise I did not make any disruptive edits. I want to contribute to Wikipedia. My router makes a new IP when it does its rebooting. No one in my household makes an IP to vandalise. I was framed or this is a misunderstanding. Please unblock my account and grant an IP block exemption. Please ask questions if you need to Keith McKenzie (talk) 00:06, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

No questions are necessary. Saying "I logged out and gave someone else my phone so they could vandalize Wikipedia" is so ridiculous that it's a waste of our time to even deal with this. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 01:00, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You are not giving a chance to get unblocked, you are asking for a confession for something I didn’t do. The edits aren’t even in my account, I log out before I pass my phone to someone else. Keith McKenzie (talk) 19:08, 22 November 2023

If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, you should read the guide to appealing blocks, then contact administrators by submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System.
Please note that there could be appeals to the unblock ticket request system that have been declined leading to the post of this notice.
