Hello all,

Besides the cabinet-level officials listed here, it appears Clinton upgraded two more posts - the Director of Central Intelligence and the Administrator of the Small Business Administration - as well. Here are the sources:

DCI:

New York Times, 1996-11-29: C.I.A. Chief Charts His Own Course: It is no secret that Mr. Deutch initially turned down the intelligence position, and was rewarded for taking it by getting cabinet rank.

Commentary Magazine, July Aug. 2007: The CIA Follies (Cont'd.): But the President-elect soon invited him in for a chat, and, once again as if by an afterthought, Tenet was reappointed as DCI. Though he was to lose the cabinet rank he had enjoyed under Clinton, he came to enjoy “extraordinary access” to the new President, who made it plain that he wanted to be briefed every day.

Recent edit: FEMA[edit]

Hello all,

I've edited the t/p to state that James Lee Witt started in the cabinet in 1996. Although he was appointed in 1993, he wasn't made cabinet-level until. I have also restored his full name.
