Dell[edit]

Dell Mini3i? Don't you mean Dell Mini 5? Jim.henderson (talk) 16:43, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, apparently, there is a Mini 3 and a Mini 5, see here. You are very welcome to help add devices to the template and create missing articles. It's a lot to do, so every pair of hands is appreciated. :-) Regards SoWhy 10:15, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

Should this not be Android OS devices ? Chaosdruid (talk) 12:53, 11 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Format[edit]

This template is super-unwieldy. There's no point in insisting that every manufacturer gets its own row in the table. There are four sections, simply list all devices in the alphabetical order. GregorB (talk) 15:11, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ugh. Everything is just clumped together. Look terrible and doesn't help navigation. --Jtalledo (talk) 20:48, 20 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
First time I'm proposing a deletion. This template is serving more of a category purpose. Where's the context and value?--IncidentFlux [ TalkBack | Contributions ] 14:20, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe it could be separated into several different templates, such as "Android smartphones", "Android tablets", etc.? It is getting very big. Funandtrvl (talk) 20:37, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
good idea, any objections to splitting it? Frietjes (talk) 16:04, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
okay, I split the template since there were no objections. Frietjes (talk) 21:54, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Colouring[edit]

I removed the recently added colouring. There doesn't appear to be any consensus here for adding it, and as far as I can tell, the standard for computer hardware and software related navigational boxes is to use the default. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 22:19, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:Deviations, paragraph 3. The Android Brand Guidelines states the official color is #A4C639 & was predominantly used throughout the system pre-Android 3.0, and is still used for the mascot and it's branding. I have corrected the color to reflect this from the incorrect color that was in use. gu1dry • ¢  23:35, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
and you are now edit warring (see WP:3RR and your four reverts). we aren't selling Android phones here at WP, so we don't need to engage in excessive branding. Frietjes (talk) 16:19, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, no need for branding here. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 20:08, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
