DM 134,000 (approx. Euro 68,513)[edit]

You can't convert 1981 DM to Euros according to the exchange rate in 2000. If you convert an historic amount of money to something that makes sense today, you have to take inflation into account. I'm not an economist, so I don't know if this is the right way to do it, but if I multiply the numbers from an historical graph of inflation rates in germany from 1981 to 2000, [1] for example, it looks like a DM in 2000 was worth about 58% of a DM in 1981. Converting that to EUR, gives me about 120k Euro, not about 68k, and certainly not 68513 - with a 5 digit accuracy. I will keep removing these (bot-generated?) Euro conversions wherever I see them, unless it is set around the time of the euro conversion, where it actually makes sense. --Mzzl (talk) 11:02, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
