There are some pictures from the NWS office in Charleston that shows the tornado damage. Definitely fits Wikipedia’s copyright guidelines because it is in the public domain. 108.147.10.55 (talk) 17:57, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I’ll also add that while very thoughtful on the editor’s part. Most of these pictures don’t really fit with what one would expect to find on a Wikipedia article about a tornado outbreak. And I think these pictures should be replaced with for example pictures of the damage caused by the tornadoes (or if we can find one, a picture of the tornado itself). But I will suggest to whoever put these pictures on here; that while Wikipedia is probably not the best place to put these. They’d be a perfect picture to put on Wikimedia Commons (that is literally the purpose of Commons is a free media repository). 108.147.10.55 (talk) 02:00, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There are also pictures of the tornado damage on that damage assessment toolkit that at least one editor put a link to in the reference section. 108.147.10.55 (talk) 20:23, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also PD like all other NOAA images I’ll add. 108.147.10.55 (talk) 20:29, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yea, that's my bad. Most of the images (like the hail one) were the only images from the outbreak until a few days ago, and so I used what I could. Feel free to change them. MemeGod ._. (talk) 15:20, 13 April 2024 (UTC) !nosine![reply]
Update: Meme God images still need transferred to commons. NWS Charleston images still need transferred to Wikipedia. 12.75.127.36 (talk) 13:38, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Update: The Meme God images are now on Commons. They still need to be replaced (on Wikipedia) with images actually showing the full scope of the tornado outbreak (such as images of tornado damage). 2601:5C5:4380:FD80:C5F8:EAF6:E74F:F1B0 (talk) 03:31, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have since removed MemeGod images (unless someone re-adds them); don’t exactly know what I’ll replace them with. Pending decision by files for upload; there are some hail pics from NWS Jackson, KY. Haven’t found any flood pics yet. 2601:5C5:4380:FD80:994F:43F1:5581:8D85 (talk) 05:50, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Two of the three pictures on this article are of what seems to be things you’d find in a normal thunderstorm (no offense intended); not exactly what you’d expect to find for a tornado outbreak article. Readers want pictures of the damage or pictures of an actual tornado. The pictures from “MemeGod 27” are already on Wikimedia Commons and he himself has said feel free to change them. I would but I can’t because I’m unregistered (and I have no immediate intentions of registering); so I am formally asking anyone who is registered to change the pictures. There are numerous public domain images available from the National Weather Service of the tornado damage. May even be able to attach a picture to the list of tornadoes. 2601:5C5:4380:FD80:994F:43F1:5581:8D85 (talk) 19:57, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
