Untitled[edit]

I understand the original creator's desire to distance himself from the strip for professional reasons, but his identity in regards to Space Moose is fairly well-known. I think redacting his name from the article smacks of censorship. OhNoitsJamieTalk 02:46, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Just because somebody doesn't want their name associated with something doesn't mean that they'll get their wish. Furthermore, Googling for "adam thrasher" yields 288,000 hits, whereas Googling for "adam thrasher" -"space moose" -"spacemoose" yields only 1,760. Like it or not, Thrasher is associated with Space Moose. --DocSigma 13:03, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
But is it necessary that his name redirects to the Space Moose article? 212.242.115.68 20:45, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The 2011 reason for keeping the name in is because reliable sources at the time (newspapers) revealed his real name, and his real name was prominently on the website and in publications. The whole al-Habib thing only came to be when he began to enter the professional world. WhisperToMe (talk) 05:13, 22 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Space Moose and Matt Groenig.[edit]

I went to school with Adam, and was an exectuve member of the M.O.O.S.E. club at the University of Alberta. This wasn't much of an accomplishment, as all members were executive members (I believe my portfolia was pizza and crucifixion).

I think there is a connection between Groenig and Thrasher. There's the appearance of Space Moose in Futurama, but I've seen a fringe character, Bee Bobby (Bo), in the Simpsons. I don't know if Bobby appears in many Space Moose strips, but there are two issues of a newsletter for the Moose Club with Thrasher cartoons in them, and Bobby is in one of those. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.108.199.214 (talk) 06:19, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I Checked Futurama episode "A Head in the Polls", and I think it does not look Space Moose at all. IMO, the Futurama should not be mentioned in this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Henu (talkcontribs) 08:37, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Weren't there links to several Space Moose archive pages?[edit]

Where did those go? VTNC (talk) 23:54, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dr. Thrasher's major[edit]

I edited it to say mechanical engineering a few months ago, an edit that was reverted. According to Dr. Thrasher's bio here: http://www.coe.uh.edu/database/facultytemplate.cfm?id=384 he actually did study mech eng, not bme. Additionally, this strip: http://www.cs.grin.edu/~wellons/comics/space-moose/on_campus.gif refers to the mechanical engineering departement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.232.60.197 (talk) 04:18, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Turns out he studied both. One was his undergrad, and one was his grad. WhisperToMe (talk) 07:33, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The character summary[edit]

There is no need to have a trivia section summarizing every single comic strip, whoever keeps reverting it back needs to stop. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.225.28.66 (talk) 03:09, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

After seeing that there was media attention around the "Clobberin" strip... http://web.archive.org/web/20000209052137/http://spacemoose.com/clobber/index.htm I don't think there's a need to have that notability tag here WhisperToMe (talk) 06:22, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

BLP[edit]

If you are wondering about the BLP of Space Moose, the author had been interviewed about it in at least one publication. WhisperToMe (talk) 08:26, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

News articles[edit]

http://web.archive.org/web/20021004003645/http://www.spacemoose.com/clobber/index.htm is an index of all articles related to the clobberin' strip WhisperToMe (talk) 06:51, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Staring at the Sun Kerry Diotte wrote a huge Space Moose feature for the Sunday, April 18 edition of the Edmonton Sun newspaper. If you are outside of the Sun's circulation area, or simply too cheap to shell out 75 cents, you can read the article entitled The Moose is loose at the c-news web site." (1999) But http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.canoe.ca/CNEWSFeatures9904/17_moose.html doesn't get anything...

http://web.archive.org/web/20000817071646/http://www.fadetoblack.com/interviews/spacemoose/ has a Thrasher interview. We know it's real because he says so at http://web.archive.org/web/19990125092051/http://spacemoose.com/ WhisperToMe (talk) 04:12, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
