I was looking for this article by searching for 'Song Jiao-ren' but was unable to find it because of the different pinyin system. is it possible to make a redirect for this? 65.29.62.75 06:33, 25 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Suffrage in 1912[edit]

"Only 10 percent of the adult males were allowed to vote". I think this is not correct. Maybe this should read as 10 percent of the total population as around 40 million of all 400 million Chinese were allowed to vote. Suffrage was restricted to adult males and among those only people with a certain wealth could vote. Taking females and minors out of the equation, the 40 million may account to some 20 to 30 per cent of the adult male population but someone with access to the actual figures may correct the article accordingly. --Proofreader (talk) 14:01, 28 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
