It's a tough call. An article such as this is appropriate if persistence is regarded as the primary meaning, the one most people coming here would be thinking of. Whether that is the case here I'm unsure. The number of people who deal with functional data structures, CRT hardware, and number theory is quite a bit smaller than the number of ordinary software developers, who see this sort of persistence everyday.
