Some changes[edit]

I've rewritten the story in simple English. I've also deleted the stuff which claims that "Sathyavrata was the ruler of original, greater Dravida, that might have stretched from Madagascar and East Africa to Southernmost India and further to Southeast Asia and Australia". Why???

The last thing we need are theories about what the original Dravidian land was like! This is a mythology page. Let's stick to that...I'm open to further suggestions. Please note that this is "work in progress":)..I'm doing my best and my source is "Hindu Mythology" by WJ Wilkins (second edition) by Rupa and co. I might not insist on mentioning how far 'Dravida' stretched but the MATSYA PURANA itself states that Satyvrata (Manu) was the Emperor of the then Dravida and that has always meant South India. Also there is mention of the Malaya Hills a part of Southwestern India in the Western Ghats where he is supposed to have done penance according to the MP.Anup Ramakrishnan (talk) 02:24, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Time concept of yugas in general[edit]

Matsya Avatar is in Satya Yuga. Thevtime span is many ulyears ago. Satya yuga was the lengthiest with 1728000 years Treta Yuga was 1296000 year Dwapara Yuga was 864000 years and Kali Yuga started by the Samadhi pf Krishna was BCE 3102. Sri Krishna lived only for 126 years. By that calculation 3102+2022= 5124 years+ Kali Yugal years is 432000. We are in Vaivasvatha Manu and we are halfway into our universal time which is 155.3 Trillion years.
