Entry[edit]

I decided to make this a proper entry, in testament to our vandal friend who created the article. More later! -- Sam

There I cleaned up the talk page up a bit. This is by far the greatest album ever made. Independent1 17:05, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Genres[edit]

Most sources state the genre as alternative rock. A previous edit claims that a consensus has been reached "on the talk page", but there is no consensus here or at the band's talk page. Since the sources obviously disagree with the previous revision, I removed "funk metal". (Sugar Bear (talk) 21:21, 3 May 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Not nu-metal[edit]

I'm starting this topic since a few anon ip's seem intent on inserting this unsourced genre to the infobox of this album and various other incubus albums. Let me say that Incubus were no doubt part of the whole nu metal scene, it's just this album sounds too far from nu metal to have it listed as a genre. It has melodic vocals, angsty lyrics, a dj and funk influence but that's where the nu metal comparisons stop. There's no extremely downtuned guitars (only moderately heavy guitars), no pantera/thrash metal influence, no rapping, and growled/shouted vocals. Alt rock, alt metal and funk rock are much more accurate genres, now please stop adding this genre, unless reliable sources start showing up. I call the big one bitey 06:51, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
