The result of the move request was: Move some, but not all. Will not move the 2015 and 2005 items, per discussion. Will move as follows (if any of the targets is wrong, I can subsequently cleanup as needed): Love Island (series 1)Love Island (2015 British TV series, series 1); Love Island (series 2)Love Island (2016 British TV series, series 2); Love Island (series 3)Love Island (2017 British TV series, series 3); Love Island (series 4)Love Island (2018 British TV series, series 4); Love Island (series 5)Love Island (2019 British TV series, series 5); and List of Love Island contestantsList of Love Island (British TV series) contestants User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 15:31, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

– With other large popular versions of this show I think we're at the point where there is WP:NOPRIMARY with each countries version being the primary topic in that country. Because of that I think it's time for this move TheDoctorWho (talk) 02:58, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nom. - Support the general direction, but not the exact proposal (see additional comment section). Love Island (franchise) should probably be created and be the base usage for the franchise, with country-specific versions being disambiguated by their respective country names. This is consistent with other reality franchises. --Gonnym (talk) 15:12, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. I think you have the year and nationality the wrong way round. Unreal7 (talk) 15:20, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support moving the series articles and the contestant article, as per Gonnym above as proposed, but strongly oppose moving the 2005 and 2015 articles – "double disambiguation" is completely unneeded in the case of these two articles, and "by year" disambiguation is entirely sufficient as no other "2005" or "2015" TV series exist with this title. --IJBall (contribstalk) 15:55, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: I support the above suggestions on which is the correct title and would be fine with that. Just wasn't sure which was the correct way to go as the UK has two series disambiguated by year while all the other series are disambiguated by country. TheDoctorWho (talk) 22:27, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • @TheDoctorWho: Some people will say that that means we should disambiguate all of the various Love Island series "by year" (as per WP:CONSISTENCY), but I think that's not even possible in this case as two of the non-UK versions look like they both premiered in 2018... In any case, "mixed sets" like these (e.g. some disambig'ed "by country", and some disambig'ed "by year") are hardly unique to this case, and a number of us don't see it as a big deal (basically, with WP:RECOGNIZABILITY trumping WP:CONSISTENCY). "By country" disambig is generally "preferred" under WP:NCTV, but there are simply some cases, like this one, where you can't disambiguate all of the "possibilities" with "by country" disambig., so in these cases you just have to fall back to "by year" disambig. for a few of the selections... --IJBall (contribstalk) 23:07, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • I support the above suggestions. Jayab314 16:06, 9 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Ceyockey, Gonnym, IJBall, Unreal7, DarkGlow, and TheDoctorWho: Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the articles (series 2 and on) were moved to the wrong title. They should all say Love Island (2015 British TV series, series 2), Love Island (2015 British TV series, series 3), etc. instead of changing the year for every article since it is a 2015 TV series. • I was concerned that I might have misinterpreted—I'll wait on making the re-moves and post-re-move cleanup until after folks weigh in on TheDoctorWho's input below. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 01:42, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, been busy and haven't gotten a chance to address this yet. I think it was decided that British was not needed as it was double disambiguation meaning the articles should be (2015 TV series, series #)'. Either way the correct disambiguation for all articles should have the year 2015 so you are correct there. TheDoctorWho (talk) 01:19, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Unnecessary disambiguation – @Ceyockey: please move those articles to Love Island (2015 TV series, series 1), Love Island (2015 TV series, series 2), etc. Thank you. --IJBall (contribstalk) 02:01, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
