Accenture[edit]

I removed the following listing (there's currently no mentiom of "Android" in the Accenture article):

  • A slang term for a consultant of the company Accenture (formerly known as Andersen Consulting)[1]

I didn't merge this into the Accenture article on the basis that it's too trivial.

I also removed the ==References== section per MOS:DAB: References should not appear on disambiguation pages. Dab pages are not articles; instead, incorporate the references into the target articles. 92.1.93.82 (talk) 07:48, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please refer to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive593#User:HagenUK for my response. I would really appreciate if you would stop now to engage in any further edit warring. Thank you. HagenUK (talk) 09:03, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have been misinformed[edit]

A robot is still a just a robot, whether it's a convincing representation of a human being or not. In Edward Hamilton's Captain Future series, and in Robert Silverberg's novel, Tower of Glass, an android is a synthetic ["man-made"] living being designed to obey humans. Usually endoskeletal and therefore soft to the touch, it eats some sort of food, drinks water, and breathes the oxygen from the air. Maybe it can reproduce itself; maybe they're all decocted from vats--like the Frankenstein of the novel was. Perhaps the confusion is due to George Lucas's Star Wars--he called what were clearly robots by a word that wasn't 'robot'; hence the term 'android' was abused. There is no need for the term "bio-android". 4.154.253.202 (talk) 20:49, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Commented out[edit]

The Android (Dragon Ball) entry was commented out, and should not be included as the article does not mention a character called Android, but several characters called Android #<no.> . Widefox (talk) 18:44, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Um, no, there's no discussion in progress. The last discussion was on March 2011. And by the way, ANDROID SHOULD BE ABOUT ANDROID OS. IT'S THE MOST USED OS IN THE WORLD, FFS. Unless you're reading talk pages on paper, you're using an OS.5.12.158.139 (talk) 16:58, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. — IVORK Discuss 22:26, 7 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
