There is now a game called abderus at www.abderus.com and i was wondering if another page should be created to hold a description for this. It seems a good game --Brendoshi 16:55, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Etymology[edit]

Removed the English translation: "son of battle". Apart from unsourced, it's completely unjustified. The consonantal complex /bd/ is typically Pre-Greek (see [[1]]), and since the lexicon of the Pre-Greek has not been reconstructed yet noone can know for sure what Pre-Greek names actually meant. As for Abderus, the best guess is that his name is associated to Abdera; and that's all that can be said. If an etymology is to appear in the article again, it must be based on a very authoritative resource. Omnipedian (talk) 14:19, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
