Order of Battles[edit]

Can someone with access to a decent source please check as I believe there are errors in the Orders of Battle shown for this division:

August 1914: The OOB mentions the 601st Reserve Uhlan Regt. No such unit is listed by Cron (History of the German Army in the 1914-18 World War). The reserve Uhlan Regts included a 1st and a 6th, but these were both attached to a Reserve Division at the start of the war (per Cron's order of battle, and confirmed by other, possibly not truly independent, on-line sources).
April 1918
- According to Cron, there was never an 84th Reserve Field Artillery Regt! I suspect that this should still be the 84th Regt as per the 1914 & Pre-War Order of Battles.
- As the 29th Pionier Minenwerfer Kp is also listed as being in the 29th Division, I presume this Division should have the 30th Minenwerfer Kp.
- Cron says that the 8th Hussars was one of the Regts dismounted during 1916. In addition, the german page on this division says that the attached cavalry was the 5th Sqn of the 7th Dragoon Regt.Glevum (talk) 23:24, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:30th Division (German Empire)/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

Good start to an article, though it needs some expansion and could do with some images. Good start on references. In the intro section nearly every sentence starts with "The Division..." this is a little hard to read. The battle history is very short with no details beyond engagements that the Division fought in. Also would like to see some information on commanders, medal winners etc.Tobyc75 (talk) 15:43, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
