Monroe Township is one of twelve townships in Adams County, Indiana.[2] As of the 2020 census, its population was 5,287,[1] up from 4,858 at the 2010 census.[3]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 36.39 square miles (94.2 km2), of which 36.34 square miles (94.1 km2) (or 99.86%) is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 km2) (or 0.14%) is water.[4]
