Hopleacanthus is a Permian genus of shark from the Kupferschiefer of Germany. [1] It has two smooth spines and it had abnormal teeth sockets, which suggests it didn't regrow teeth like other sharks. It's current size is unknown due to lack of genetic evidence. Its diet most likely consisted of small cephalopods and fish.
