Holštejn is a municipality and village in Blansko District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic, in the historical region of Moravia. It has about 200 inhabitants.
Holštejn lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) north of Blansko, 24 kilometres (15 mi) north of Brno, and 178 kilometres (111 mi) south-east of Prague.
History[edit]
Holštejn was a part of the Habsburg-ruled Margraviate of Moravia until 1918, when it became a part of independent Czechoslovakia. From 1939 to 1945, it was part of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia.
