French Township is one of twelve townships in Adams County, Indiana.[2] As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,244[1], up from 1,083 at the 2010 census.[3]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 23.94 square miles (62.0 km2), of which 23.86 square miles (61.8 km2) (or 99.67%) is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 km2) (or 0.33%) is water.[3]
