Why not mention the intended size of the image for reading? Saying that it is "14 pt" does not really tell us much unless we can / want to look up Iowan and figure out how to make the relevant calculations. If 2436:2969 were the same ratio as 8.5:11, I would have guessed that as the original size, as I would have A4 if the ratio 210:297 were the same. As a result, at least some of the typographic value is lost.
