This image shows a different rope routing from that shown in the dülfersitz wiki article.

Not having tried this routing, I speculate that it would give less friction, and possibly be easier to descend at a faster than desired rate, but also allows descent control by pinching the rope between the upper arm and chest, freeing both hands to handle the taught rope.

I would like to know if there is any history about this image, regarding it's accuracy of portrayal. Perhaps it can inform the larger article on the "dülfersitz" technique. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.80.251.71 (talk) 22:25, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
