The whole of the Republic of Cyprus is in the EU and the Eurozone. The map does not, but should, reflect this. The fact that some of the country is under military occupation by another state which does not de facto permit the use of the Euro despite it's de iure status as legal tender is immaterial. Would ABC101090 prefer a separate colour indicating "parts of the Eurozone under foreign military occupation not currently using the Euro"? --5telios (talk) 12:52, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Gibraltar

Colour scheme

I propose in the absence of any countering arguments, that I change the issuing states represented by yellow to black. When viewing this map as part of one of the articles utilising it, the size renders these yellow states difficult to distinguish.

I have reviewed the link to articles and this would not affect the readability of those articles. The Red Threat (talk) 12:01, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Colour of Estonia

Looking back at the earlier versions of this map, I notice that Slovakia had a different colour (purple or something...) when she was about to obtain the Euro as her currency. Denmark referendum

I don't think it is accurate any longer to say that Denmark is "planning" a referendum. It has been off the political agenda for at least a year and will certainly not happen before the next election in 2011. None of the parties are promising a referendum, and it will not happen until the economic situation in the eurozone clears up. We should move DK to the holds a derogation category until further events warrant the "planning a referendum" status. Peregrine981 (talk) 16:46, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

As of 2012, Denmark has made no plans to hold a public referendum about adopting the euro. It seems Denmark's interest of joining the eurozone have dried up, and the other 8 EU countries that were obligated to eventually join, have been stalling due to the ongoing eurozone crisis. I also remember the Czech President Vaclav Klaus at one time suggesting, he would try to negotiate an opt-out from the euro in the next EU-wide treaty, perhaps mostly likely in Croatia's accession treaty. —stay (sic)! 03:45, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
