source[edit]

As source, "modified file:Indo-Pacific_biogeographic_region_map-fr.svg" is given, but that is a completely different map, and it contains none of the actual data (the geographical spread of the language family). As I understand it, that file is only a (very general) source for "a map showing the Indian and Pacific Oceans". It cannot be used as a source for the areas marked in red on this map. NZ[edit]

I came here to ask why only the Northern Island of New Zealand was included. I visited the Maori article, but could not immediately find any mention of that culture (and hence, language) not being present on the South Island? What is the explanation?
