Description And while all the political bickering and head butting goes on regarding railway construction in Laos, the small 2-car diesel railcars across the Friendship Bridge soldier on. Yes, this is the same train we'd seen eralier on the Friendship Bridge. This is a 1967 Hitachi (Japan) built railcar. She was in pretty pristine condition, considering her age. (Vientaine, Laos/ Lao PDR, April 2014)
