This software is copyrighted, but its screenshot is being used in the Windows Search and Windows Search articles here under U.S. fair use laws, because:

• it helps to visually identify the software; in that sense it furthers the goal of providing verifiable information.
• it does not limit, nor does it claim to, limit the rights of the copyright holder.
• it does not, in any way, assist in illegal reproduction of the software or any other things covered by the license of the software.
• it is being used for informational purposes.
• it is not a free software, so a free equivalent cannot exist.
• the software was cancelled before a public release, so self-made shots cannot be provided.

The rationale applies to both the screenshot of the software as well as the content visible in the shot of the software.
