Summary

Description
English: Much of the ground on Mars contains ice. When ice leaves (by sublimation into thin atmosphere) the ground collapses and thereby forms many shapes. The bottom half of picture shows how this might look. This image was named HiRISE picture of the day on May 21, 2019.
