Description
Deutsch: Die Wasserburg Reipoltskirchen war Sitz der Herren von Hohenfels, die eine Nebenlinie der Herren von Bolanden waren. Die Familie starb 1602 aus. 1628 wurde die Reichsherrschaft Reipoltskirchen unter den Grafen von Lewenhaupt-Rasburg und zwei Vettern des letzten Herren von Hohenfels, aufgeteilt. Über eine Erbtochter kam die Hälfte des Besitzes an die Grafen von Manderscheid, die ihren Anteil 1730 an die Grafen von Hillesheim verkauften. Die andere Hälfte kam nach mehrfachem Besitzerwechsel 1777 an die Karoline zu Isenburg und Büdingen, älteste Tochter des Kurfürsten Karl Theodor von der Pfalz.
