Summary

Description
Français : Calcul du volume du solide de révolution engendré par la rotation du triangle curviligne OAB, où OB est une portion de parabole d'axe OA, autour de AB Ibn al-Haytham découpe le solide en n tranches et encadre le volume de chaque tranche entre deux volumes cylindriques. Il calcule ensuite la somme de ces volumes cylindriques minorant et majorant le volume du solide à l'aide des Formules de Faulhaber et double à l'infini le nombre de tranches pour démontrer que (Roshdi Rashed, Histoire des sciences arabes, volume 2, 1997, pp102-105)
