Eesti: Ajastu sakraalehituse näide.

Rajatud 15.sajandi II poolel frantsisklaste kloostri päevil. klooster suleti 1560 ja purustati samal aastal linna vallutamisel. 17.sajandi I kolmandikul rekonstrueeriti linnakirikuks (pühitsetud Ristija Johannesele), hiljem korduvalt ümberehitatud. Hilisbarokne tornikiiver valmis 1815 pärast põlemist 1811. Pärast II maailmasõda kasutati laona. 1980. aastail alustati kohandamist kontserdisaaliks. Taastati kirikuna 1992, arh. M.Kinks, kunstiajal. K.Alttoa. Omaaegne kloostrikiriku ühelööviline kooriruum ja pikihoone olid tõenäoliselt võlvimata. Koori seinu liigendasid kaks sakramendinišši, selgitamata liturgilise funktsiooniga kaaristud ja ukseavad käärkambrisse. Praegune käärkamber pärineb 18. sajandist. Pikihoone on ehitatud sekundaarsena vastu koori müüre. Lisaks W-sissepääsule oli juba algselt olemas S-portaal, mille ette 19.sajandil lisati eeskoda. W-osa koos torniga on hilisem, ent samuti keskaegne. Eksterjööri kaunistavad kolmnurksillustega niššid ja sõõrpetikud.
