English: Photo from a WWII re-enactment and commemoration event held in England in 2011, featuring replicas of authentic German military equipment from the Second World War, including weapons, uniforms, and other gear used by soldiers in the Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS: German signal pistol/flare gun (Leuchtpistole), leather pistol case/holster and cartridges in cartridge case/container/pouch/box on displayfor visitors.
  • The Leuchtpistole 34 or flare gun in English was introduced into German service before World War II and served throughout World War II.. The Leuchtpistole 34 was a single shot, break action, smoothbore, flare gun designed and produced by Walther that was a successor to the earlier Leuchtpistole 26.
  • The photo was taken on September 3, 2011, during the Victory Show 2011, held in the small village of Cosby, Leicestershire, UK. The Victory Show is the largest event in the country, commemorating the Second World War on a 100-acre site at Foxlands Farm every September. The event features historical reenactments of military events, including a battle and an air display.
  • The photographer's Flickr album contains photos of WWII militaria, including weapons, ammunition, uniforms, insignia, personal equipment, reproductions, and originals, available for reenactment and as collector's items on sale at the trade stalls (militaria fair), as well as vehicles, trucks, tanks, aircraft, cannons, tractors, tents, vintage automobiles, and more in the public visitor areas/reenactors' camp.
