The amphibious Valentine DD was a standard Valentine Infantry Tank rebuilt with the ‘Duplex Drive’(DD) system invented by Nicholas Straussler. The type was used for crew training in the run up to D-Day, training the crews that would eventually land in Sherman DDs.
This is the only preserved example and was restored to running order by John Pearson. She is seen making a guest appearance at TankFest 2019.
