Summary

Description
English: "Photograph of the passenger platform, promenade and driveway ramp at the Union Station along High Street. This is the third Union Station to be constructed on the site. It was designed by architect Daniel Burnham and opened in 1897. The Beaux Arts style entrance facade was at street level on North High Street. The passenger boarding platforms were at track level, ticket offices and passenger waiting areas on the second floor, and railroad offices on the third floor. The facade was razed on October 22, 1976, but one surviving arch with its Corinthian columns and classical sculpture was saved and moved to its present location at Arch Park in the Arena district. The main depot building was razed in 1979."
