Description
English: WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Aug. 1, 2008) File photo of the Lee House, the only original plantation house still standing on Naval Weapons Station Yorktown. Also known as Kiskiack, named after the American Indian tribe in the area, the Lee House was built circa 1650 on land granted to Richard and Henry Lee. The house was kept in the Lee family for nine generations until the government took it over in 1918. Today, the Lee House remains where it originally stood, preserved as part of the Virgina Historic Landmark registry. (U.S. Navy photo by Mark Piggott/Released)
