Description
English: Trimble's wharf on tideflats, 1917. "Seattle Tide Lands. Block 367. Camera at a point 24' W of the W margin of Railroad Ave. and 25' S of the S line of W.P. Trimble's property. Looking W shows piling sout (sic) side of W P Trimble's wharf. No dreding (sic) of slip."
The 1901 Seattle Polk's Directory describes Trimble's Wharf as being "ft King", that is, at the foot of south King Street. Trimble also owned a pier about a mile north, in the Union Street / Pike Street area, but this does not look like anything in that well-documented area in this era.
