Description
English: A Federal German Navy Panavia Tornado IDS aircraft (registration 43+65) lands at Naval Air Station, Oceana, Virginia (USA), on 1 August 1989. The Tornado belonged to Marinefliegergeschwader 1 (MFG 1) (Naval Fighter Wing 1) at Jagel Air Base, Schleswig-Holstein (Germany). After the end of the Cold War MFG 1 was disbanded in 1993. Note the thrust reversers.
