The trees are on Cuckhamsley Hill, around the barrow known as Scutchamer Knob. The byway is the route of the Ridgeway National Trail, seen here being used by a pair of riders on horseback and several walkers. The photograph was taken on East Ilsely Down at the border between the administrative counties of West Berkshire and Oxfordshire. |
