Summary

Description
English: Lunar surface imaged by Surveyor 1. Figure 3-56 of NASA SP-184, caption reads:
FIGURE 3-56. - Mottled rock about 50 cm long near Surveyor I. Lighter areas, which range from a few millimeters up to 3 cm across, appear to stand out as knobs, perhaps as a result of differential erosion. Note intersecting fractures and swarm of smaller fragments to the left of the block (June 3, 1966, 09:33:59 and 09:33:07 GMT).
