English: Flower show in the Assembly Hall, Pittsworth, ca. 1915

Pittsworth is a small rural community near Toowoomba, on the Darlinig Downs. It is a service centre for the surrounding farms which grow cereal crops, cotton, linseed and sunflowers. There are also beef cattle properties in the area.

Pittsworth Methodist Flower Show which was held in the Assembly Hall, opposite Tatts Hotel, between 1914-1916. Mr Apted is the minister standing on the stage. This hall doubled as a picture theatre. The men in front, to the left of the flower display are Clarence Moad and Fred Dore (hand at waist). The show had a Swiss theme. (Description supplied with photograph).
