Nederlands: Beschrijving Eénpersoons hut tweede klasse aan boord van het mailschip ms. Christiaan Huygens Bouwnummer186, gebouwd op de werf van de Nederlandsche Scheepsbouw Maatschappij (N.S.M.) in opdracht van de Stoomvaart Maatschappij Nederland. Tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog werd het schip door de geallieerden als troepentransportschip ingezet. In de zomer van 1945 is het in Antwerpen gereviseerd. Op weg naar Rotterdam is het in het Steendiep op een mijn gelopen en zwaar beschadigd op de Steenbank gezet om zinken te voorkomen. Op 5 september 1945 brak het schip (op 51.37 noorderbreedte en 3.17 oosterlengte) en werden verdere bergingspogingen gestaakt. |
