Summary

Description
English: Nathaniel Hitch was a sculptor who died in 1938.

He carved two reliefs for the Passmore Edwards Library in Cable Street. One represented "Art" and the other "Literature". This is a photograph of one of the two reliefs. The library in question was badly damaged in a German bombing attack in 1940.

The reliefs did not survive that bombing. I would like to include the image in a wikipedia article I am writing on Nathaniel Hitch. Please bear in mind that when still in existence these reliefs were in a public place. i.e. Over the library entrance. The sculptor died over 70 years ago.
