Norsk bokmål: St. Olavs skrin: Utsnitt fra Olavspanelet i Nidarosdomen (ca. 1320) som viser Translatio Olavi (velsignelsen og bisettelsen av Olav den hellige), da hirdbiskop Grimkjell den 3. august 1031 finner liket helt, velluktende, og med hår og negler som er vokst. Drevet frem av folkekravet (vox populi) helligkårer han Olav.]]«Kongens legeme ble båret inn i Klemetskirken og ble bisatt over høyalteret. Kista ble trukket med pell og det ble satt telt over den av gudvev. Det hendte straks mange slags jærtegn av kong Olavs helligdom», skriver Snorre Sturlason, vår hovedkilde. Med ‘pell’ og ‘gudvev’ menes vakre og kostbare stoffer.
English: A panel from Nidaros Cathedral, dated around 1320 showing Olav, being exhumed by Bishop Grimketel, and declared a saint, on the 3 August 1031. At this time, local bishops and their people could proclaim a person a saint as the formal canonisation procedure through the papal curia was not customary then.
