Fair use rationale for A Senate Journal[edit]

The use of this book cover in this article I, believe to be fair use though the picture is subject to copyright, I feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

  1. This reproduction of the book cover is of inferior resolution and quality than the original, and could not be used as an adequate replacement for the original.
  2. The image is used only to represent the book in question and no free equivalent is available or could be created that would adequately give the same information.
  3. The image is freely available from many other sources on the internet and its inclusion here does not to make it substantially more accessible than it already is.
  4. The use of the image here does not limit the copyright holder's ability to distribute, sell or promote the book in any way.
