This is an image of a building or other location within the Pioneer Square-Skid Road Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The district has been successively enlarged, and hence has multiple NRHP IDs: 70000086, 78000341, and 88000739

Summary

Description
English: The Yesler Building (at left; built 1891; formerly Scandinavian-American Bank / Bank of Commerce Building), 95 Yesler Way (corner of First Avenue South), Pioneer Square neighborhood, Seattle, Washington, USA. In recent years it has held a series of restaurants, fast food joints, etc.

For further information about this building see Summary for 95 Yesler WAY / Parcel ID 5247800055, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods. However, that article is almost certainly mistaken in saying that the top floor was added circa 1895. It is missing in this photo published in 1900 in a book whose images all appear to have been recent at the time.

The view here looks roughly west by southwest, down Yesler Way. Also visible are (left to right) the Schwabacher Building (which surrounds the Yesler Building on two sides), the Pioneer Square Hotel, the Bedford Hotel Building (1 Yesler Way), and the Alaskan Way Viaduct.
