Description
English: The Sittertobel viaduct is the highest standard-gauge railway bridge of Europe. The rails are 99 m above the water line. In this picture, an hourly Südostbahn "Voralpenexpress" service (Lucerne - Romanshorn), hauled by an Re 456, is crossing the bridge.
Deutsch: Das Sittertobelviadukt ist die höchste normalspurige Eisenbahnbrücke Europas. Die Schienen befinden sich 99 m über dem Wasser. In diesem Bild überquert gerade ein stündlicher Voralpenexpress (Luzern - Romanshorn), gezogen von einer Re 456 der Südostbahn das Viadukt.
