English: "Remains of Sibton Abbey, Suffolk," from "A Series of Etchings Illustrative of the Architectural Antiquities of Suffolk," etching by Henry Davy, published at Southwold. Etching dedicated to Right Rev. John Fisher, D.D., Bishop of Salisbury, patron of the painter John Constable and close confidante of King George III. Bishop Salisbury married Dorothea Scrivener, daughter of John Freston of Sibton Abbey, who had changed his name to Scrivener after a family inheritance. 240 mm x 287 mm.
